Summer 2027: A Collection Born from a Decision We Never Made
Every collection starts in much the same way: fabric swatches spread across a table, color palettes pinned to the wall, sketches, prototypes, and countless ideas that never make it past the drawing board.
For Summer 2027, we expected the process to unfold as usual.
Then we found ourselves facing an unexpected decision.
Two very different fabrics kept rising to the top. One stood out for its versatility, timeless look, and exceptional feel. The other introduced something entirely new: a patented textile engineered to reduce heat buildup under direct sunlight.
For weeks, we tried to choose between them.
Eventually, we realized we didn't have to.
Instead of forcing a compromise, we decided to build our Summer 2027 collection around both ideas, two distinct interpretations of what Mercure can be on the bike.
Mercure — Essential
Essential is our vision of timeless cycling apparel.
Built from premium European fabrics, the collection focuses on clean lines, understated aesthetics, and lasting quality. These are the pieces you reach for without thinking—the jersey that feels just as at home on an early morning training ride as it does over coffee after the ride.
The color palette reflects that philosophy: soft pastels inspired by summer, including light blue, sage green, Nebula pastel green, deep burgundy, and muted lavender. Shades designed to complement one another and remain relevant season after season.
Mercure — Special Projects
Special Projects is where we allow ourselves to experiment.
It serves as our laboratory for exploring new materials, technologies, and ideas that push beyond conventional cycling apparel.
For its first release, we selected a patented fabric designed to reflect part of the sun's radiation, helping reduce heat absorption and improve comfort during the hottest days of summer.
To showcase the technology, we created a deep black Nebula pattern available in both men's and women's versions. The goal was simple: design a black jersey that remains comfortable even under the July sun.
Two Collections. One Philosophy.
Although Essential and Special Projects take different approaches, they share the same purpose.
To create cycling apparel designed in Montreal, built to perform, and crafted to remain part of your riding wardrobe for years—not just one season.
